STATEMENT
The Minimally Invasive & Laparoscopic Surgery Center of New Jersey was formed in 1999
and is committed to providing patients with the highest level of care in the field of laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery. The breadth of experience of our physicians ensures that our patients will receive the best surgical care by highly qualified individuals. In addition, we strive to ensure that our patients receive the personal attention and care we would want to receive ourselves.
BIOGRAPHY
 Richard D. Ing, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon and is an extensively trained and well experienced laparoscopic surgeon. He has given numerous lectures and presentations in the field of laparoscopy and has authored several publications including a chapter on "Laparoscopic Colectomy for Colon Cancer," in Zucker's Surgical
Laparoscopy, 2nd Ed., 2001.
Dr. Ing was selected as one of the few physicians in the United States who 0 has completed a separate and highly specialized fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery. He studied under the pioneer in laparoscopic colon surgery, Dr. Moises Jacobs at Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Jacobs reported the first laparoscopic colon operation in the United States.
Dr. Ing completed his undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Detroit Medical Center-Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and American Medical Association. Dr. Ing serves as a committee member for the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Ing currently heads the Minimally Invasive & Laparoscopic Surgery Center of South Jersey. He has privileges at Rancocas Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Health System in Willingboro, NJ and Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, , Virtua Health System in Mount Holly, NJ. He has been in practice in the South Jersey area since 1999 with Drs.
Ruvolo, Baskies, Holaday, Wasser, Blanc and Greenbaum.
